What counts
Only Cosmo's own AI model (Claude) counts toward the $40. Other services, like video rendering or email verification, are covered by the plan's fair-use limits instead.
At 80%
- Writing jobs you ask for (articles, emails, ad ideas) and background jobs move one step down to a lighter model.
- Chat with Cosmo stays on its usual model.
- Cosmo's browser stays on its usual model.
At 100%
Cosmo texts you once:
Heads up: I've used this month's AI budget for [your brand]. I'm still here to chat, and every card you've got keeps working, but I've paused the daily planning run, niche research and new reels until [date].
Then:
- Paused until the 1st: the daily planning run, weekly niche research, new reel scripts, AI-search checks, first-day posts and Cosmo's browser.
- Still working, on the lightest model: chat, and anything you ask for directly.
- Unaffected: approving cards you already have. Approved posts, emails and ad changes still go out.
If you try to start new generation, you'll see: "This month's AI budget is used up, so new generation is paused until [date]. Chat still works."
The budget resets on the 1st of each month, UTC.
