In Connections → Email inboxes, connect Gmail or Outlook with a sign-in, or any other inbox with SMTP and an app password. Cosmo sends only the cold emails you approve, at most 30 a day per inbox, and reads replies so follow-ups stop when someone answers.

Connecting
Go to Connections → Email inboxes.
- Gmail: sign in with Google. This is a separate sign-in from your Google Analytics one, and it asks for full mail access so Cosmo can send and read replies.
- Outlook / Microsoft 365: sign in with Microsoft. If sending fails, your Microsoft 365 admin may need to turn on Authenticated SMTP for that mailbox.
- Other (SMTP): enter the email address, an app password, the SMTP and IMAP hosts and ports, and a From name.
If the Gmail and Outlook buttons are greyed out, use Other (SMTP) with an app password.
Caps and safety
- At most 30 emails a day per inbox by default. When you add an SMTP inbox on the Outreach page, you can set your own daily cap (1 to 100).
- Sends go out on weekdays between 9:00 and 17:00 in your time zone, 4 to 10 minutes apart.
- On the Outreach page you can also tick "New inbox: ramp up from 5/day (+5 per week)" for a brand-new inbox.
- An inbox pauses itself if more than 3% of its recent emails bounce, or if its login stops working. It then shows "paused". Reconnect it in Connections.
- Your plan includes up to 5 inboxes.
Use a separate domain
Cosmo blocks your main domain by default, because cold email can hurt its reputation. Use a lookalike domain (for example getacme.com) with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up. To use your main domain anyway, tick "Use my main domain anyway (risks its reputation)" before tapping Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook, or "I understand if this is my primary domain" on the Outreach page's SMTP form.
Replies are read through IMAP (read-only) and only from the moment you connect. Older mail is ignored. See Cold email and outreach.
