Editing and skipping cards

Updated

The short answer

Posts can be edited before they go out: tap ✏️ Edit or reply "edit 2", then send the new text. Other cards can't be edited, so skip them and ask Cosmo for a new version. In the app you can say why you skipped, and Cosmo learns from it.

Editing a post

Only social posts can be edited, scheduled or posted now. For any other card, Cosmo would show your edit but send the original, so he doesn't offer editing there.

In chat:

  1. Tap ✏️ Edit, or reply "✏️", "edit" or "edit 2".
  2. Cosmo asks for the new text.
  3. Send it within 30 minutes. Cosmo shows the updated card again before anything goes out.
  4. Reply "cancel" to keep the original.

In the app: tap ✏️ Edit on the card, change the text, then tap "Save & approve".

An edit only changes the text. The account, schedule and cost stay as proposed. Cosmo keeps your original next to your version and learns from the change.

Skipping a card

Reply "skip", "skip 2" or "no", or tap Skip. Nothing happens and the card is closed.

In the app, after you skip, you can pick a reason:

  • Not now
  • Wrong tone
  • Bad idea for us
  • I'll do this myself. This also adds that area (for example "LinkedIn posts") to the things you do yourself, so Cosmo stops proposing it. See Who leads.

Cosmo keeps the last few skip reasons and rewrites in mind when he plans.

Questions

Can I edit an ad or an email before it goes out?

Not in the card. Skip it and tell Cosmo what to change, and he'll send a new card.

Can I undo a skip?

No, a skipped card stays skipped. Ask Cosmo to propose it again.
