Cosmo's browser: read-only research and approved tasks

Updated

The short answer

Cosmo's browser has two modes. Research is read-only: he can open and read pages, but can't submit forms or post. A task that clicks or submits something on a site is a card you approve first, and it only acts on that one site. In both modes he never signs in, and never enters passwords, payment or account-security details.

Read-only research

Cosmo uses it to look at competitors' sites, pricing pages, directories and the like, and you can start a run yourself from the browser page. Read-only means pages can be loaded, but nothing can be submitted or posted. A research run gets up to 3 minutes.

Approved tasks

When something needs clicking, like filling in a form, Cosmo sends a card first. The card names the site, and the task can act only on that exact site (and its www. version). If a redirect lands on another site, that page is read-only. An approved task gets up to 4 minutes.

What Cosmo's browser never does

  • Types into password fields, card numbers, CVC, IBAN, one-time codes, PINs, SSNs or other account-security fields
  • Signs in, creates accounts or accepts terms
  • Solves CAPTCHAs

When he hits a login wall, a CAPTCHA, a payment step or anything that can't be undone, he stops, marks the run "needs you" and tells you what's left. Every run starts in a fresh browser with no saved logins.

Limits

  • Up to 30 steps per run, and one run at a time.
  • 30 runs in any 24 hours.
  • Needs an active trial or plan, and pauses when this month's AI budget is used up.
  • You can tap Stop on a live run.

Statuses: running, done, needs you, failed and stopped.

Questions

Can Cosmo log in to my accounts with the browser?

No. The browser never signs in or types passwords. Accounts are connected through each platform's own sign-in in Connections.

Why did a run say "needs you"?

It reached a step only you can do, like a login, a CAPTCHA, a payment or something irreversible. Do that step yourself.
